-- UPCOMING COUNTY COMMITTEE MEETINGS: First Thursday of each month at Madson Mortgage, 319 South Madison Ave., Douglas.
-- Saturday, September 13, 2008. State Committee Meeting and also Georgia Association of Democratic County Chairs (GADCC) annual dinner to award the Richard B. Russell Public Service Award. All proceeds from this dinner assist Democratic County Parties. The 2008 recipients will be Angelia and Tasso Knight. State Committee Meeting at ______. There is a reception at 5:00 p.m. and dinner will be at 6:00 p.m. The events will be held at the DuBose Porter Training Center, 560 Pinehill Road, Dublin, Georgia.

-- Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner. The theme for the dinner was "Come to Georgia," and all Presidential candidates were invited. Congressman John Lewis and Senator Max Cleland were honored with our first annual "Georgia Giants" award.
